In “Getting Prepared” a 2010 report on recent high school graduates who took development/remedial courses, MnSCU Chancellor Jim McCormick said “Our colleges and universities are working hard to make sure high school students and teachers clearly understand the level of readiness necessary for success in college.”
Do you agree that the reason 45% of Minnesota recent HS graduates who enrolled in public higher education in the state need to take at least 1 remedial course is because students and teachers have not understood the college level expectations?
Welcome to the GRO Teaching and Learning Leadership Share Site!
This site is a clearinghouse of resources intended for educators in leadership positions.
Teachers and administrators who ask, "What are other districts doing?" can reference this site for valuable information. The site features both 1) collective work done by participating districts such as surveys of scope and sequence, and 2) individual district contributions.
To contribute exemplary curriculum, assessment, and instructional procedures, practices, programs, policies, and projects being in use in your district that you are willing to share with other educators, please send an e-mail with the appropriate attachments to Duane Udstuen, Applying Research to Practice Consultant at dhudstuen@district287.org
Thanks in advance for sharing your resources with other educators. GRO is hopeful that
